On the Internet, we designed and developed a servlet-based, unique fax messaging system for www.safedepositbox.com.
Useful Software has developed a real-time video capture system that captures images and then dials into the web server and uses FTP to transfer the images to the server. This app is written in Visual Basic. We have also developed another real-time video capture system that uses a loop detector to trigger a digital camera to photograph an automobile, compress the image, and transfer it to a web site.
Useful Software, Inc. also worked with Iterated Systems (now MediaBin) to create the Video Modem. The Video Modem was designed to capture images, compress them with the fractal video compressor, and transmit the images to a video player via a dial connection. At 28800 bps, the Video Modem could capture, transmit, and display from 18-24 frames per second!, This application was written Intel Assembler and Borland C.
